Abigail Laub is passionate about life and love. She intentionally looks for magic with the dawn of each new day. Smiling and speaking positive words to herself and others are ways that she shines her light.
Abigail has a Dual Master’s Degree in Early Childhood General and Special Education from Bank Street Graduate School of Education. She has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from New York University. Abigail has used her life experience and her education to enhance her profession as an Early Childhood educator. She has brought stories from her childhood to life in guided sleep- story meditations that can be found on Insight Timer. These sleep stories support children as they transition from a day of fun to sleep. There is mindful breathing at the beginning and the end of each story. There is also gentle music to support children on their journey to sleep. Abigail gently encourages listeners to get settled in their bed as they practice mindful breathing. Abigail’s voice accompanied by soft music brings stories of her childhood to life as her voice paints a lovely memory of her childhood.
In her day job as a teacher, Abigail draws inspiration from Carol Dweck’s “Growth Mindset” and John Dewey’s “Experiential Learning” in her work with children and their families. Abigail supports and advocates for children by empowering them to use their voice, to show kindness, and to honor themself through self-love. Her classroom is a place where joy laughter and exploration are part of the magic of learning. Abigail believes that in those moments when things feel just a bit too hard, the opportunity to rethink, reexamine, and retry are all gifts that can lead to unexpected, rewarding, and fulfilling outcomes.
